Plumbing bookkeeping · Houston
Plumbing books, closed by the 10th.
Service calls, repipes, water heaters and commercial work, each with its own margin. We keep the books current and show you which work pays.
What's different about your books
Where plumbing books go wrong
The fixes are simple once someone is watching every month.
Parts runs
Supply house charges across several jobs on one card, all landing in one expense line.
Trip charges and minimums
Without job costing, you can't tell if your minimum covers drive time.
Big jobs, slow pay
Repipes and commercial work paid in draws make cash flow lumpy.
Techs and apprentices
Payroll, overtime and helpers who are sometimes 1099, sometimes not.
Truck costs
Fuel, tools and inventory on the truck are real costs that get missed.
Commercial vs. residential
Commercial repair is generally taxable in Texas. Residential repair labor generally isn't.
