Texas franchise tax report
Your LLC owes a report even if it owes no tax.
Most small Texas businesses owe no franchise tax. They still have to file a report every year by May 15, or the state can forfeit the company's right to do business. We file it for you.
The rule
What small businesses file
For reports due in 2026 and 2027, a Texas entity with annualized total revenue of $2.65 million or less owes no franchise tax. It still files a Public Information Report (for corporations and LLCs) or an Ownership Information Report (for other entities like partnerships) by May 15.
Skip it and penalties follow. Leave it long enough and the state can forfeit your entity's right to transact business in Texas, which can put your personal assets at risk.
Sole proprietors and general partnerships owned only by people don't file franchise tax reports.
